You may recognize me as RageOfAges from CGSociety's HMC's.
I was reading your blog posts and your may 19 post, concerning Bacteria helping clouds form, reminded me of something I recently saw on national geographic.
What struck me in this documentary as one of the most incredible "spacy" bits of news I've heard in a long while (the accuracy is questionable, as I haven't confirmed the video with outside sources), is that there is a possibility of microbial life inhabiting the upper levels of Venus' sulfuric acid clouds, feeding off of the UV rays from the sun. The evidence is incomplete, and the documentary itself seems suspiciously in the realm of Discovery Channel's Hollywood big budget, big fluff, no research phenom, but the idea and fantasy are stunning. Hope you enjoy the show.
Well it was a pleasure getting to meet you face to face at the DC chapter Siggraph meeting today...did not know you were on my favorites until I put 2 & 2 together & logged on here to verify lol...I need to log on CG Talk more often
